TOPSoccer

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training program for all athletes with intellectual, emotional, and/or physical disabilities. The program strives to provide soccer opportunities for players to develop at their own pace in a safe, fun, and supportive/inclusive environment.

TOPSoccer Leadership Council & Special Events Committee

As part of the leadership council, I assist in the workings of TOPSoccer throughout the year and contribute to event planning and execution. This involves contributing to fundraising efforts and the implementation of creative ideas. Within the leadership council, I am a member of the special events committee. Through this, I am responsible for multiple large events throughout each season. I have helped plan and execute multiple buddy appreciation events, a Fall Festival, and Easter Festival, and end-of-season activities.

TOPSoccer "Buddy"

As a Buddy, my role is to work hands-on with the athletes to help promote a positive experience and personal growth. Each week I pair up with one of the kids and go with them to the different activities set up around the field. I encourage them to participate in group activities but primarily focus on ensuring they have fun, receive needed care and attention, and grow. I help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for the athletes.
